Never think the world is out to get you, but it also won’t just give you anything. You have to seek and seize what you want in life by yourself.

LINER TRADECRAFT

“You can’t change the world but you can change the world around you.”     -Det V Cader

This is the mentality of which you should be living. Don’t wait for things to happen or expect you deserve something without earning or working for it.

Don’t feel you’re entitled to anything, rely on luck or other people. Take action and pursue your desires and change the odds to your favor.

In order to succeed in life, you must strive through your own path with discipline, no hesitation and controlled directed fear. Venturing into new and difficult tasks to get what you want and need in life, no matter the obstacles.

Being brave, taking calculated risks to secure your rewards, never thinking the world owes you anything.

Fortune favors the bold.

Because it doesn’t, the world owes you jack shit.

The world is only here to give us the possibilities of our potential, not just to hand it over to us.

Despite this way of thinking, I’m guilty of rarely taking advantage of a very important element of life success:

Asking others for help when I need it.

Asking for help is vital. It’s a character flaw of mine that I don’t think I’ll ever shed. Asking for help isn’t the same as asking for a handout. It’s a fundamental and useful part of being human.

It’s okay to ask for help. Sometimes it takes more strength to do so, to admit to yourself that you can’t do everything and need some assistance.

When shit gets hard, this is the time to be courageous, not slow down and wait for shit to happen.

Nothing is impossible. Any task or goal that may seem so is surmountable if thought as a mere physics equation. Breaking down the steps it takes to achieve something “impossible” to smaller and more manageable problems and solving them one by one.

Live life believing that the world owes you nothing and you’ll find that the world will start giving.
